Finding Old ACT Scores

I took the ACT a couple of years ago and now I need to access my scores. Does anyone know how to find ACT scores from past tests? Are they still available, or do they expire after a certain amount of time?

You can still access your ACT scores even if you took the test a couple of years ago. ACT scores do not expire, but they may be archived if it has been more than 2 years since you took the test. Here's how to access your ACT scores:

1. Visit the ACT's official website (act.org) and log in to your account. If you've forgotten your username or password, there's an option to retrieve them on the login page.

2. Once you're logged in, go to "Your Test Dates and Scores" to see if you can find your scores from the test you're looking for. If it's been less than 2 years, your scores should be readily available.

3. If it has been more than 2 years since you took the test and you can't find your scores online, they might be archived. To access archived scores, you'll need to request them from ACT. You can do this by filling out and mailing the "ACT Archived Scores Request" form, which you can find on the ACT website. Keep in mind that there is a fee associated with retrieving archived scores.

4. After submitting the request form and paying the fee, ACT will send your archived scores to the address you provided on the form. Note that it may take a few weeks for your request to be processed and for you to receive your scores.

Remember that many colleges accept SAT or ACT scores that were taken within the last 5 years, but specific policies may vary, so it's best to double-check with the institutions you plan on applying to. Good luck!
