"I had a special event to go to in Cardiff\r\nThe waistcoat I ordered was too small so I ordered a larger size \r\nI was at work when it came but my husband stayed home\r\nWhen I got home the \u2018black waistcoat\u2019 was in fact a red dress \ud83d\ude21 it was too late to order it again and the item was no longer in stock ( it was when I ordered it) I rang to complain on Saturday and I\u2019ve still not had a response from Next. I\u2019m so angry and disappointed with Next. Also I could not wear the outfit I\u2019d planned without the waistcoat"

"Ordered Adidas white trainers in size 42, delivered was Skechers red trainers in 36. Alvin, to whom I spoke on the helpline, said it wasn\u2019t possible to reorder. Is it possible Next was fully aware these items were not in stock but chose to send something in the wrong make, colour and size in order not to admit this?"

“ A cancelled item was charged to my account 3 months ago and despite my contacting the help desk and the problem was identified and supposedly rectified it is still listed on my statement for outstanding payment! I don't want to wait to get through to help desk again with a 20 minute wait time feel so frustrated 😕 ”

“ Terrible return policy. You can buy and have items delivered abroad - to Spain - but if you want to return an item - such as a poorly made blazer, whose one side is completely off kilter - you need to pay for the return to the UK! International shipping! What?! I'll NEVER buy at Next again - Zalando also carries their items, and will send you a courier to your door if need be. So thanks for nothing Next. And bye. ”

“ I had the best shopping experience with Amanda in the next store at the Vanguard Centre in York. I am a wheelchair user and Amanda made me feel very much at ease - without being in the least bit fussy or patronising. She helped me to find items and also colour choices of those items, without any pressure. It was the best shopping experience I have had in a very long time! Thanks Amanda - see you soon! ”

“ 0 ⭐️! As many people already shared, this is a zero stars company with zero stars customer service. Tracking says delivered, there is no package 📦 anywhere, probably they threw it over a fence somewhere else (they’re using the cheapest most horrible courrier service available of course)… if you contact “their” customer service - outsourced in INDIA! - they’ll be telling you for over a week it could be up to 3 days, let’s see how long these 3 days can take! Either way, no refund, no bother to find the package, and will not resend you your items either… so careful if you’re not willing to risk it and see if you actually receive what you’ve paid for… ”

“ Ordered and paid for 3 items in sale. Email stated would be over 2 weeks delivery. On day due email advising delayed. Next day email received stating items returned and refund given! This never happened. Called Next,adviser said all 3 items damaged in transit so refund sent. Be more transparent please. You took too many orders and never had enough stock. Asked if I could reorder guess what? Not in stock. ”

“ Bought a nice designer doormat from Next that was described as easily washable. Unfortunately it didn't have a label on the underside warning to only use wool setting so it got damaged. Wanted to order an identical one. Website claims one week delivery yet we've been strung along for 3 weeks now. It's looking more like a drop shipping operation with goods not even being in the UK. ”

“ Visited Next Store in Victoria Retail Park Grimsby on Sunday 17/3/24. This was to collect some on line orders as well as buy some items from the men's department. I am a wheelchair user and find this store very accessible. The staff are always welcoming and supportive. On this occasion I greeted on arrival and helped by Nina. She was tremendous with her help and advice and it was a real pleasure to shop. Many thanks Nina. Great customer service. Really appreciated. David ”

“ Never, give Next your email address as unfortunately they will use this as an opportunity to bombard you with advertising emails,(spam) yesterday and today I received their verbiage. They are according to Government Legislation supposed to supply the recipient with a unsubscribe facility,which they do,but accidentally on purpose or otherwise,this doesn’t actually work!. ”

“ I visited the next clearance store in mcarther glen bridgend on January the 26th 2024 and was appalled by the lack of good customer service they had. Staff appear cold, uninterested and extremely rude. They were un approachable and when actually approached were short and unfriendly. I have visited other next stores and have had fantastic customer service so was shocked to have been welcomed by this kind of behaviour from such a well reputable store who pride themselves on good customer service. I will not be re visiting and would not rexommend anyone else do either unless you'd like to be looked down your nose at and judged. ”

“ Account in credit (my money) and was refused to buy an item in store because there is apparently a hold on my account! I could buy there online and order for home delivery but they couldn’t sell me it at the counter! Staff shouted that my account was on hold, turned the screen around for the queue to see and called a manager over who was less than helpful. I emailed Next to complain, their response your account is in credit please call us to refund or we’ll keep it in your account, nothing else ! Abdominal service. To add, they changed their unlimited delivery and returns contracts so now even though you purchased for both theyonly deliver for free and now charge for returns! ”

“ I bought the Gosford 4 seater sofa, unfortunately the seat cushions were faulty. I agreed to let them send me replacements, which turned out to be worse than the original & were completely the wrong size again. I had to fight to get a return sorted, to which they finally agreed to do. This then put my next account in credit by quite a substantial amount. I was told this would then be credited back to my bank along with any interest incurred. After 2 weeks I had still not received my refund into my bank account & no one contacted me to arrange it? So I have had to chase constantly, being promised call backs that never happen. I have now spent over another week trying to get this paid back. Finally on Friday I was told that they have now processed it, however it looks to be the wrong amount! (obviously less than it should be). As far as the refund for the interest I am constantly being fobbed off with excuses. Absolutely appalling service when it comes to receiving a refund for a faulty/defect goods. I would strongly advise anyone who is considering buying large items such as furniture, don't! While the clothes & accessories etc are lovely, the furniture is not very good quality. While the complaints department were very nice on the phone & seemed helpful, actually getting the refund itself (for the correct amount) is virtually impossible. I will now be escalating this higher & reporting to the financial ombudsmen ”
